Every building in Kentucky needs some form of heating and cooling, and there’s a shortage of HVAC technicians in our state. Becoming a licensed HVAC Technician is the key to a lifelong and fulfilling career. Our year-long program allows you to get practice working on the job and studying during the evenings.
From Monday to Thursday, you’ll be in the classroom & lab from 6 pm to 9 pm, learning safety standards, EPA requirements, and core foundation work, both with residential cooling and heating and commercial heating and cooling. This is a licensed-based class.
Depending when you start the class runs nine months. In that time, you’ll receive 312 instruction hours. Each day you’ll increase your skillset and book knowledge. By the end of this program, you’ll be fully confident to take a job as a fully certified and licensed HVAC technician.
Students who have completed this course say they enjoy the pace and on-the-job learning. The information is put together with time to understand and digest it. The field training allows them to put what they learned into practice immediately. It was overall a highly positive experience.
